On December 20, 2022, the California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in collaboration with Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture, announced the completion of the Cairo Avenue grade separation in Kings County.
The structure is between Eighth and Ninth avenues in Kings County and will take high-speed trains over Cairo Avenue. It spans 84 feet long and more than 43 feet wide and is built to accommodate two sets of tracks for future high-speed trains.
