Multiple Closures:

  • Intermittent lane closures along Fresno Street between H and E streets;
  • Road closure along China Alley between Merced and Mariposa streets;
  • Lane closure along F Street at Fresno Street;
  • Lane closure along H Street between Toulumne and Mariposa streets;
  • Lane closure along Fresno Street between Fulton and Broadway streets;
  • Road closure along the Fresno Street to H Street access road;
  • Intermittent lane closures along G Street between Merced and Mariposa streets

Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, Nov. 23 through Friday, December 19, 2025.

Detour

FRESNO STREET TO H STREET DETOUR:

Traffic along westbound Fresno Street will be detoured south on F Street, north on Mono Street to H Street.

BROADWAY STREET TO H STREET DETOUR:

Traffic along Broadway street will be detoured west on Mariposa Street to H Street.

NORTHBOUND G STREET TO WESTBOUND FRESNO STREET TRUCK DETOUR:

Northbound truck traffic along G Street will be detoured west on Stanislaus Street, then south on E Street to Fresno Street.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic.

Access will be maintained to all businesses and property owners.

Description

Fresno, CALIF. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Tutor-Perini / Zachry / Parsons (TPZP), announces multiple closures along Fresno, G, and H streets in Fresno for utility work. Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, Nov. 23 through Friday, December 19, 2025.

This work is part of Construction Package 1 (CP 1), the first 32-mile stretch of high-speed rail between Avenue 19 in Madera County and East American Avenue in Fresno County.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel. The public is asked to drive carefully and be extra cautious while traveling though the construction areas.
