HAUL ROUTE:

  • Materials will be transported south on Seventh Avenue and west on Fargo Avenue to a high-speed rail construction site.

Signage will be in place to direct traffic.

Description

FRESNO AND KINGS COUNTIES, CALIF. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron
Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent traffic impacts along Seventh and Fargo avenues in Kings County to haul materials to a high-speed rail construction site. Work is scheduled intermittently between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. starting Monday, Dec. 8 through Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel.
