Material Haul Along Avenue 128, Poplar Avenue, Avenue 144 And State Route 43, And Orange Avenue In Tulare And Kings Counties

Tulare And Kings Counties, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent traffic impacts along Avenue 128, Poplar Avenue, Avenue 144, State Route (SR) 43 and Orange Avenue in Tulare and Kings counties to transport materials to a high-speed rail construction site. Hauling is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday, Jan. 26 through Sunday, March 1, 2026.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
