Work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will continue through Friday, Jan 12. 2024.

Signage and Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic.

Access will be maintained to all property and business owners.

Description

Kings County, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent lane closures along Fargo Avenue, between Seventh and Eighth avenues in Kings County for utility work.  Work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will continue through Friday, Jan 12. 2024.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel.
