Intermittent traffic impacts along SR 43, between Davis Avenue and Cole Slough in Fresno County for work on a high-speed rail structure.

Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 2 through Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.

 

Detour

Signage and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic.

Construction crews actively monitor weather conditions and follow strict protocols for visibility and fog safety. Description

Fresno County, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), in cooperation with design-build contractor Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture (DFJV), announces intermittent traffic impacts along State Route (SR) 43, between Davis Avenue and Cole Slough in Fresno County for work on a high-speed rail structure. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 2 through Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.

This work is part of Construction Package 2-3 (CP 2-3), the 65-mile stretch of high-speed rail between East American Avenue in Fresno County and one-mile north of the Tulare-Kern County line.

All construction activities and schedules are subject to change. The California High-Speed Rail project is considered a critical infrastructure sector, and as the project continues, staff, contractors and construction workers are following specific guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traffic laws will be fully enforced and commuters are expected to be aware of the surrounding activities, remain alert and watch for construction vehicles and personnel.
